Unity Vending Machines

New to Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, you can now get sexual health testing kits from vending machines in 4 locations across the region.

The vending machines provide an FREE, FAST, EASY and PRIVATE way to test for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV.

 

This service is best for people with no symptoms- if you are experiencing symptoms, see here for appointment information.

  • If you are concerned about HIV, please see the risk assessment page here or call our advice line on 0117 342 6944.
  • If you have had syphilis treated in the past, the blood test on the testing kit will not be able to give us enough information. See here on how to make an appointment for full testing.

  • How to use the Unity vending machine
    • Answer six quick questions
    • Choose your FREE testing pack that is right for your body
      • STI Tests: Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis & HIV

    OR

      • Mouth swab HIV test – result in 20 minutes
    • Enter a code sent to your mobile phone and get your pack
    • Take your samples
    • Post the test kit back for FREE
    • Your results will be texted to you in 1-3 weeks

    You can only access an STI testing kit OR an instant HIV test from the machine every 30 days

    If you test positive for an STI or HIV on the postal testing kit, our team are here to support you and will be in touch. Look out for a ‘withheld’ number that we will call you on.
